These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HafizAI's website and mobile applications (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Minors may use the Service only through an account created and supervised by a parent, guardian, or teacher, who accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf and is responsible for their use.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for keeping your password confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Teachers and parents are responsible for accounts they create or manage and for obtaining any necessary consent.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
- HafizAI offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
- You may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you retain access until then.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with prior notice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service; reverse-engineer or scrape it; upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; or use the Service to harass others or violate any law.
5. AI features & religious content
HafizAI includes AI-assisted coaching ("Sheik AI") and automated insights. AI responses are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not a substitute for a qualified Quran teacher or scholar. Always verify religious matters with a trusted, knowledgeable human authority. The Quran text and recitations are sacred; the Service is a study aid and makes no claim of religious authority.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is owned by HafizAI and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. The Quran text itself is not owned by HafizAI.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HafizAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm or legal exposure.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
